Report on First Joint Course ASU – ESU:
Indonesia, December 3rd to 6th 2009
1. Lee Fang Jann, Singapore
The course was held over 2 days with the aim
of updating the participants on recent
advances in Urology. The first day saw
presentation in topics pertaining to uro-oncology
and the second day targeted topics in endo-urology.
The course was well supported by a large
local delegation and participants from
regional countries. The faculty, all experts
in their respective fields, took us through
a very comprehensive and engaging discussion
of the course topics. There was ample
opportunity for the delegates to clarify
points and share experiences after every
session which help to enhance the learning
process.
I have learned much from the course and
benefitted from the sharing of experiences
with the regional delegates. I thank the
organizing and scientific committee on the
well thought out and executed program and
would strongly encourage all residents to
attend future courses if given an
opportunity.
2. Do Lenh Hung, Vietnam
I work at the Department of Urology A, Binh
Dan Hospital in Vietnam. I attended the
First Joint Course ASU - ESU; New Grand
Hyatt Bali, December 3th to 6th 2009. In the
first 2 days, I had the chance to attend the
Joint Course ASU and ESU with many excellent
lectures which will be helpful for me in the
future in the role of a doctor and a medical
teacher. I also had the chance to get
acquainted with many internationally
renowned experts in the fields of Uro-Oncology
and Endo-Urology from Asia and Europe. In 2
days left, there was the 32nd Annual Meeting
of Indonesian Association of Urology and it
was impressive that there were many
interesting topics. I could say that it was
a successful meeting. Moreover, I also had
the chance to visit many beautiful places in
the famous island Bali.
At last, I would like to express my great
thank to UAA who will sponsor my
registration fees for the meeting to provide
me a chance to upgrade my knowledge.
